Message from the Youth Director

To Pastors, Elders and Youth Leaders.

My fellow youth, I greet you in the name of our Chief Guide and Director, Jesus Christ.

I am humbled by the opportunity given me, to serve as Director of the youth ministries in this great conference, I must also thank you for your participation throughout 2009. God has called his youth t o provide leadership within His church but more importantly, He has called us to service.

There is an urgent cry for attention emanating from the lips of the young people within and without the church. Ellen White expressed her desire for the youth in her book  Messages to Young People: “ I have a deep interest in the youth, and I greatly desire to see them striving to perfect Christian characters, seeking by diligent study and earnest prayer to gain the training essential for acceptable service in the cause of Gad. I long to see them helping one another to reach a higher plane of Christian experience.” {MYP 15.5}

I too share this desire. In all our programs, those designed for training as those designed for recreation, may we each strive to be in every sense; a true servant of God and a friend to man.

These are exciting times. As we look at the year that was and see how God has Brought us through, we anticipate the year that is to come and accept the many challenges, because we know, God will be with us.
